About Me

I am a National Digital Content Producer for The National News Desk.

What I Cover

My role at TNND expands across platforms and genres. I produce content for social media with a focus on our national news show. I also write breaking news and articles for the web from news to politics to entertainment.

My Background

At the Colorado Times Recorder, I covered Washington with a focus on Colorado politics. This brought me to cover events like the Denver Mayor testifying in front of Congress to the House Energy and Commerce reconciliation hearing. I was the only reporter for the outlet based in D.C.

For The Durango Herald, I reported on both politics and policy. As the only reporter for The Durango Herald based in D.C, I am able to hold elected officials in the U.S. Congress accountable for issues that affect Durango, Colorado, ranging from the environment to immigration. I am also covering the election in Colorado’s third congressional district. I write one to three stories a week working on quick deadlines. In that role, I covered two big spending bills the NDAA and the continuing resolution.

I was a Life Staff Writer for The Eagle from 2022-2023. As a writer, I covered on and off campus events ranging from acapella concerts to D.C. fashion week, writing one story a week. As the food, wellness and style editor, I pitch multiple stories and work with writers on the reporting process ranging from interviewing, to writing. I led a leadership workshop on how to cover an event. That semester, our section had the most articles published across the paper.

I covered the 2022 midterm elections as a part of a course at my university called Battleground Pennsylvania. The course was a case study on a swing state during a key Senate election. I also covered the gubernatorial election, and traveled to Philadelphia during election week. I wrote a story about the importance of Black churches in swing elections, published on American University’s graduate student publication The Wash. I interviewed voters at the polls on election day filing interviews for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

I studied abroad in London, U.K during spring 2024. While abroad, I interned at a non-profit organization called Thames21. I wrote, filmed and edited an informational video related to green infrastructure projects. This video required interviewing community members during volunteer events. The video is published on YouTube.

I freelanced for Love Happens Magazine, a luxury magazine during summer 2024. My pitch about savory cocktails to try this summer took trends among the younger generation and brought it to a luxury audience.
